I had my first solo exhibition ‘Shelf Life’ in May 2019 at the Regional Cultural Centre in Letterkenny, Co.Donegal. It was based on my great-grandparents grocery & hardware shop - 'Buchanan's', which opened in Ramelton in 1908.
I exhibited 'Shelf Life' again at the 50th Anniversary of the Lennon Festival in Ramelton in July, in the building next door to my grandparents' shop. I wanted to pay homage to my grandparents who loyally served the local community for over 70 years. It included a Pop-Up Shop with work from local artists and designers.
It has always been a dream of mine to create a space where people feel love and care and a sense of belonging - just like my grandparents did in days gone by. Therefore, I have created ‘BELONG’ - a new design studio, workshop space and gift shop in my family home in Ramelton.
